iMCBridge Privacy Policy
Overview
iMCBridge connects an iPhone to a Mac chosen and paired by the user. We design the service so the operator cannot view remote screen, keyboard, mouse, clipboard, terminal, or AI-agent content.
Data processed
- Device and pairing identifiers, encrypted connection coordination records, and short-lived session tokens required to find and authenticate paired devices.
- Network metadata such as IP address, connection time, and traffic volume processed by infrastructure providers to establish direct or relay connections.
- Subscription status and transaction identifiers provided by Apple. Payment card details are handled by Apple and are not received by iMCBridge.
- Optional diagnostic information submitted by the user when requesting support.
Screen recording data
When an authenticated, paired iPhone starts a remote desktop session, iMCBridge uses Apple's ScreenCaptureKit to capture video frames containing the pixels visible on the primary Mac display. iMCBridge does not capture system audio, microphone audio, camera video, or content from any additional display. Keystrokes and passwords are not collected as separate screen-recording data fields, although text that is visibly displayed on the captured screen can appear in its pixels.
The sole purpose of processing these screen frames is to encode and transmit the live display to the user's authenticated, paired iPhone so that the user can view their own Mac remotely. Screen recording data is not used for advertising, analytics, tracking, artificial-intelligence training, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
Screen frames are processed transiently in memory on the Mac and paired iPhone. iMCBridge does not save recordings or screenshots, upload screen frames to CloudKit, or store screen recording data on an iMCBridge server. Frames are discarded as they are displayed and when the session ends. When a direct peer-to-peer connection is unavailable, Cloudflare TURN may forward end-to-end encrypted packets, but Cloudflare is not provided with the keys required to view the screen. Screen recording data is not shared with any third party in readable form.
macOS controls Screen Recording permission and displays its system consent flow. The Mac app shows when screen sharing is active, and the user can stop the session at any time or revoke permission in System Settings.
Remote content
Remote screen and control traffic is encrypted between paired devices. A relay may forward encrypted packets when a direct connection is unavailable, but the relay is not given the keys needed to read their contents. Passwords and Mac login credentials are never stored by iMCBridge.
Apple services and providers
iCloud/CloudKit and Apple Push Notification service may coordinate paired devices and attention notifications. Cloudflare may provide signaling and encrypted TURN relay transport. Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple's privacy policy.
Retention and control
Short-lived signaling records expire automatically. Authentication digests may remain until the paired device is removed or the service record is deleted. Users can stop a session at any time, remove pairing on their devices, disable notifications, or contact us to request assistance.
Children and tracking
iMCBridge is a developer productivity utility and is not directed to children. It does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or track users across other companies' apps and websites.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
